Q:Esim does not recognize EID: null
A:Scenario 1: A customer uses two physical SIM cards. With eSIM support disabled, SIM slot 2 is closed. If the customer then enables eSIM support, the eSIM EID will be null. Solution: First, enable SIM slot 2, then disable eSIM support. The device will restart. Then, enable eSIM support again. The device will restart a second time. The eSIM tooltip will then recognize the EID. Scenario 2: A customer uses two physical SIM cards. With eSIM support enabled, SIM slot 2 is closed. If the customer then disables eSIM support and then enables it again, the eSIM EID will be null. Solution: First, remove the physical SIM card SIM2. Then, disable eSIM support. The device will restart. Then, enable eSIM support again. The device will restart a second time. The eSIM tooltip will then recognize the EID.
Scenario 3: A customer has one physical SIM card in SIM1 slot. With eSIM support enabled, SIM slot 2 is closed. If the customer then disables eSIM support, the device will restart. Then, enable eSIM support again. The eSIM EID is detected as null. Solution: First, remove the physical SIM card (SIM1). Then, disable eSIM support. The device will restart. Then, enable eSIM support again. The device will restart a second time. Then eSIM Finder can recognize the EID.
Scenario 4: The customer has a physical SIM card in SIM2 slot. With eSIM support enabled, SIM slot2 is disabled. If the customer disables eSIM support again, the device will restart. Then, enabling eSIM support again will result in the eSIM EID being detected as null. Solution: First, remove the physical SIM card (SIM2). Then, disable eSIM support. The device will restart. Then, enabling eSIM support again will restart a second time. Then eSIM Finder can recognize the EID.
